Property Flipping is basically buying a property below market value, renovating it on a tight budget, and re-selling it in the shortest time to reach a successful and profitable outcome. This is where my expertise come to the fore. The change in the before and after shots shows how big a difference small, but precise, changes can make.
For example, look at the property above. We took it from studio to 1 bedroom en suite! A black and white palette was kept throughout to unify the spaces – also it is very contemporary and any colour can be added as an accent colour. The kitchen was almost non-existent, so new white cupboards below and above were added with wooden shelving to match the natural beechwood sanded and varnished floors throughout the rest of the apartment/flat. The room dividers were made out of pine and painted black to suit the decor – to distinguish the area between lounge and bedroom. The bathroom entry was originally from the passage. We closed this up and made the entry from the bedroom side instead. This made the bathroom appear bigger and was more practical.
My name is Jenny Heron and my passion is improving and highlighting every property’s potential, with a view to making a good profit when re-selling. There are so many things to think of when improving a property; potential buyers, their age group, what style appeals and sells in the area (together with the general prices that properties are selling for in that area) – these should all be identified before you begin.
My journey to becoming a property flipper started from a young age, always seeing my mother at the top of the ladder – either painting, wallpapering, or moving around the furniture! Her passion for home enhancement inspired me! I enjoy the process of improving a home by making a few significant changes and adjustments in order to maximize the good points and minimize the bad – thereby making it more appealing and more “sellable”.
