How to: Painting on Facebrick

An unsightly, dark bricked wall – once painted – can create a lovely ‘textured’ look which becomes a feature (this is very contemporary at the moment).

How to

  1. First paint with a thick water-based white contractors paint using a brush. Bricks and grout are absorbent and will use a lot of paint for the first coat so this will be more cost-effective, although it takes time.
  2. Paint over once using the colour of your choice in a good quality, water-based paint. You will only need 1 coat of each if applied with a brush. Plascon Polvin is excellent for a professional finish!

What a difference!
